Executive Media Training & Spokesperson Coaching
Because real experience makes all the difference.
Super Rich Media provides executive media training and spokesperson coaching for leaders who need to communicate clearly, confidently, and credibly in interviews, presentations, and public-facing moments. Our training combines message development, media interview preparation, and realistic on-camera practice to help executives and spokespersons deliver composed, authoritative responses.
All training is led by Richard Taylor – a broadcast veteran with two decades of experience at BBC News, where he worked as a senior producer, tech correspondent, and show creator. His journalism career has spanned other international broadcasters – CNN, Sky News and ITN – and a portfolio of interviews that includes global political figures, CEOs, celebrities, and innovators.
Today, Richard works with senior leaders from a wide range of industries – from venture capital to AI, fintech and consumer startups through to the world’s largest banks and brands. The goal? To ensure that spokespeople engage the media with clarity, confidence, and control.
Our Approach
We believe effective media training is never off-the-shelf. A weak performance can damage reputations; a strong one can elevate a brand. That’s why we tailor every course to your organisation, your priorities, and your people.
We begin by understanding your business; its messaging, its challenges, and the specific pressure points each participant may face. Then we build bespoke, realistic interview scenarios that reflect those situations.
Courses begin by demystifying the media: exploring what journalists want, how the news cycle works, and the psychology behind effective interviews. From there, participants develop practical skills through a series of progressively more challenging on-camera exercises.
Our training style is built around iterative learning – mastering a high-pressure skill through repetition, feedback and refinement. The result: real confidence, not just theoretical understanding.
What Sets Us Apart
We combine journalistic insight with cutting-edge tech to offer training that’s as relevant as it is rigorous.
Broadcast-Grade Equipment
Every course uses a full professional setup - including large-format cameras, lighting rigs and high-quality radio mics to replicate a real interview environment. This enhances realism and prepares delegates for the actual pressures of broadcast scenarios.
Personalised Video Feedback
Optionally, participants receive a professionally recorded video of their final interview, with annotated feedback and performance notes. This becomes a lasting reference guide, supplementing the comprehensive booklet given to all delegates.
AI Tools for Interview Prep
With a deep background in tech and digital media, Richard also brings a modern edge to the training. Delegates are introduced to tailored AI-driven tools that can assist with message shaping, media prep, and simulated Q&A - empowering them to continue honing their skills after the course.
Types Of Training
Media Training for Executives
Media training for executives prepares senior leaders to represent their organization effectively in interviews, press briefings, and public-facing moments. Our training develops clear core messages, teaches techniques for handling difficult questions with composure, and refines on-camera delivery—tone, body language, and presence—to project authority and authenticity. Executives learn practical frameworks for staying on message, maintaining credibility under pressure, and communicating with confidence in any media setting.
Spokesperson Media Training
Spokesperson media training prepares designated representatives to serve as the authoritative voice of their organization in media engagements. Our training focuses on developing consistent, credible messaging that aligns with organizational priorities while teaching spokespersons to navigate challenging questions, redirect conversations using bridging techniques, and maintain composure under scrutiny. We work on on-camera delivery, body language, and vocal control to ensure spokespersons project confidence and credibility across all media formats—broadcast, digital, and print—while protecting both their personal reputation and the organization's public standing.
Media Interview Preparation
Media interview preparation provides targeted coaching for specific upcoming interviews, ensuring leaders are fully prepared for the questions, format, and objectives of each media engagement. We develop focused talking points and key messages tailored to the interview context, anticipate likely questions—including difficult or adversarial ones—and conduct realistic mock interviews with immediate feedback. Our preparation includes briefing on the interviewer's style and past coverage, practicing transitions and bridging techniques, and refining delivery for the specific format, whether broadcast, podcast, or print. Leaders enter interviews confident, prepared, and ready to deliver their message effectively.
Media Training for Tech Executives
Media training for tech executives addresses the unique challenge of communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences—investors, journalists, and the general public. Our training helps tech leaders translate technical innovation into clear, compelling narratives that demonstrate business value and market impact without relying on jargon or industry terminology. We focus on simplifying complexity, developing accessible analogies, and framing technical achievements in terms that resonate with broader audiences. Tech executives learn to balance technical credibility with approachability, handle questions about emerging technologies and competitive positioning, and communicate with confidence across investor presentations, media interviews, and public speaking engagements.

Effective media interviews require preparation, message discipline, and composure under pressure. Our framework ensures leaders communicate clearly and credibly in any interview setting.
- Clarifying core messages and talking points – We identify the essential messages you need to deliver, distilling complex information into clear, memorable points that align with your communication goals and audience expectations.
- Answering difficult or unexpected questions – We prepare you for challenging questions, teaching techniques to respond with honesty and composure without being defensive, evasive, or caught off guard.
- Bridging techniques to stay on message – We teach you how to acknowledge questions, then transition smoothly back to your key messages without appearing scripted or avoiding the topic.
- Tone, body language, and delivery on camera – We refine how you present yourself—managing vocal tone, eye contact, posture, and facial expressions to project confidence, credibility, and authenticity.
- Maintaining credibility and composure – We develop your ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, handle unexpected situations with professionalism, and maintain your authority throughout the interview.
How Our Media Training Works
Our media training process is practical, hands-on, and tailored to each leader’s specific role and communication challenges. We move from strategic foundation through realistic practice to final refinement.
- Assessment of role, audience, and communication goals – We begin by understanding your position, who you’ll be speaking to, and what you need to accomplish in media engagements. This shapes every aspect of the training.
- Message development and positioning – We develop clear, credible core messages that align with organizational priorities and resonate with your target audiences across different media contexts.
- Interview simulation and on-camera practice – We conduct realistic mock interviews that replicate the pressure and dynamics of actual media engagements, including difficult questions and challenging scenarios.
- Live feedback and performance refinement – We provide direct, actionable feedback on what’s working and what needs adjustment, refining your messaging, delivery, and on-camera presence in real time.
- Follow-up guidance and take-home frameworks – We provide frameworks and guidance you can reference and apply to future media situations, ensuring the skills you develop continue to serve you beyond the training.

“Rich’s media training was a game-changer for me. Before we worked together, I approached media interviews with visible nerves; after just a few sessions, I felt—and sounded—completely in control. Rich’s ex-BBC insight, paired with his British humor, made intense training both effective and memorable. If you’re a C-suite leader who wants to own the room, Rich is the coach who gets you there.

Richard’s insight and real life examples elevated the training from good to exceptional. He shared his experience interviewing for online, print and broadcast during the theory part of the training, but the real value came when he conducted mock media interviews. He put our executives on the spot, assessed the individual executives experience and managed to tailor each and every interview to enable the executive to learn.
